Souverain
A Fragrance for the Sovereign Soul
Design Study & Creative Philosophy
Souverain is a fragrance concept created under the atelier vision of timeless elegance. The design fuses regal restraint with artisanal warmth — a bottle that feels at once ancient and enduring. With its heavy glass body, square wooden cap, and leather-emulating label, the form honors classic luxury while standing boldly in the present.
Logo & Symbolism
The logomark combines serif elegance with a crowned monogram nested in the “O” — evoking sovereignty, nobility, and inner mastery. The subtle asymmetry in letter spacing adds tension and human warmth, breaking the rigidity often found in traditional luxury. It speaks not of domination, but of self-possession.
Materiality & Texture
The tactile contrast is central: glass, wood, and leather interplay to invite touch. The bottle surface is dark and mysterious, almost like obsidian, with soft red undertones revealed only under light — reminiscent of hidden depths. The label is deeply debossed with the logo, grounded and unapologetically matte, echoing an era before gloss became glamour.
Form & Mood
Every angle was chosen to express permanence. This is not a playful scent. Souverain is stately — but not distant. It carries the same gravity as a handwritten letter or a tailor’s last stitch. In mood, it recalls the interiors of a baroque study or the dim hush of a private library.
This is a perfume meant to sit atop a walnut shelf, not beside trendy flacons on fluorescent counters. Its visual identity is not seasonal — it is sovereign.
Design Philosophy
“In a world obsessed with spectacle, Souverain is a return to weight, to essence, to things made to last.”
My design philosophy behind Souverain centers on carrying the classic forward — not as nostalgia, but as reverence. Vintage is not an aesthetic; it’s an ethic. It speaks of time, of ritual, of care. The visual narrative in Souverain seeks to tell that story:
A fragrance not worn, but inhabited.
Logo Breakdown

The logo features a customized serif typeface with high contrast strokes and a circular emblem in the “O” — a symbol drawn from classical European iconography. It reflects a philosophy of visual sovereignty: calm, confident, and enduring.
The emphasis on symmetry, spacing, and simplicity reinforces the brand’s timeless character.
Bottle Design Breakdown

The bottle of Souverain was designed with sculptural intention. Its thick glass body and sharp rectangular edges give it architectural gravitas, reminiscent of timeless monuments. The front label is raised and textured to resemble aged leather — a tactile nod to craftsmanship and memory.
The cap, carved from dark wood, crowns the bottle like an heirloom seal. This choice of material balances the sleekness of the glass with organic integrity. Deep amber glass reveals warmth only when light passes through — a symbolic interplay between mystery and illumination.
Every material, shadow, and form was chosen to convey permanence. Souverain is not merely an object — it is a vessel of story, ritual, and silent power.
Color Palette
The palette of Souverain evokes quiet strength and heritage. Deep obsidian black and wine-brown ground the design in depth and tradition. Warm gold and aged parchment offer contrast and richness, while soft stone-grey provides balance and calm — each hue contributing to a story of understated luxury.
